The Monastic Festivals of Ladakh, popularly known as Cham festivals by visitors from different countries, are sacred annual Buddhist spiritual festival held in all monasteries across Ladakh. During these festivals, monks perform elaborate masked dances like the Black Hat Sacred Dance and Sacred Skeleton Dance (Atsarak), accompanied by ritual instruments such as gyaling, dungchen, and cymbals. These festivals symbolize the victory of good over evil and serve as an important medium for preserving Ladakh's spiritual heritage and monastic traditions.

The Changthang Nomadic Festival is a vibrant celebration of the traditional lifestyle and cultural heritage of the Changpa nomads of eastern Ladakh, who depend on livestock such as yaks, horses, sheep, and prized pashmina goats for their livelihood. The festival offers a close look at their seasonal nomadic way of life, including their traditional tent (Rebo) houses made from animal wool, which are designed to withstand extreme cold and strong winds and can be easily dismantled during migration. Alongside these displays, the festival features folk music and dances, archery, horse riding, traditional attire, and exhibitions of pashmina products and handicrafts.
