Pangong Tso is a stunning high-altitude lake sitting at about 4,350 metres, known for its calm beauty and ever-changing colours that shift from deep blue to green and gold with the light. Despite being a saltwater lake, it completely freezes in winter, creating a surreal icy landscape.

It is also an important habitat for rare birds like the Bar-headed Goose and Black-necked Crane, while the scenic journey via Chang La Pass and nearby monasteries makes visiting Pangong as memorable as the lake itself.
